| Horticultural light is measured in par watts (photo synthetically active radiation)
, this is the amount of light energy that a plant can
assimilate. Colour temperature and lumen output of lamps
are rated for human eye response and does not apply to
plant response. The eye response curve
chart shows a spike at about 500 nanometers (yellow
light-regular MH).
Plants use a very broad range of light during their
growth cycle. SUNMASTER is a brand of specialty plant growth lamps available
with various dosed arc tubes. Each lamp in the family
will perform either a broad application for all stages
(balanced lamp), or be dosed specially in the red for
flowering or blue for vegetative (warm deluxe / cool
deluxe). |
