Scissors
Choosing the right scissors or sheers to trim your garden with can me a more important decision than you may think. Although it may not add directly to the benefits of your garden, choosing the wrong set could damage or harm your plants. Using improper sheers can cause bruising of the plants stems and branches.
A good set of scissors are the green leaves pruning tools. They are made with a complete stainless steel blade; cast aluminum handles with a soft TPR grip. They have an ergonomic design that makes them comfortable to hold and easy to maneuver with plants. Also has a lock position for proper storage of the unit.
A less expensive way to properly trim small plants is to use a standard stainless steel scalpel. These are best for taking cuttings of plants or small trimming needed on your plants.
Another design for scissors that is easy to use is snip and clip scissors. These are helpful to keep a hand free when trimming and easy to use on the hands.
Sprayers
Sprayers are often needed for foliar spray, pest controls application or basic watering in addition to your regular hydroponics set up. Plants usually uptake nutrients through their roots but many plants often use their leaves for feeding. Sprayers can range from a small standard plastic spray bottle, to pressure sensitive industrial sprayers or systems set up to automatically spray plants.
