Do you sell a Chelated micronutrient mix?

JackYes, Homegrown carries a chelated trace element mix.
It is the 6th ingredient in the six pack. Here are details on its  composition:
 #6 Chelated Trace element (Fe 7%, B 1.3%, Mn 2%, Zn 0.4%,  Cu 0.1%)

Can you tell me about the exact Kelvin rating for the /u/day bulbs.

Jack5500k when burned in a horizontal position.

I have heard about you through the aquatic plant newsgroup. I am interested in obtaining ingredients for the PMDD (poor man's dosing drop) recipe. The hardest element to get is the trace element mix.

JackThe Homegrown nutrient six-pack contains:
#2 K2SO4(potassium sulfate),
#3 KNO3 (potassium nitrate),
#5 MGSO4 (epsom salt),
#6 Chelate Trace element (Fe 7%, B 1.3%, Mn 2%, Zn 0.4%, Cu 0.1%) - exactly what you want.

I wish to acquire several 175 watt metal halide units to illuminate a 6 foot X 2 foot freshwater aquarium. I need a source of light which has a high CRI and a spectrum as closely matched to natural sunlight as possible. The CRI should be close to 90 or higher and the colour temperature of the bulbs should be approx. 5,000 ~ 5,500 K. The lights must be able to be suspended between 15" - 18" above the water surface (there is not going to be an enclosed hood over the aquarium). Fluorescent lights are not suitable due to the fact that I want to suspend the lighting so high over the water surface and also because the tank is 24 inches deep.
At aquarium shops, most of the MH lighting is meant for marine tanks and the colour temp. of the bulbs is 10,000 K, which is much too blue.Additionally, they want well over $1,000.00 for anything which meets my needs. Someone suggested that I try a hydroponics shop, which is why I visited your site.

JackHomegrown carries carry a 175 Watt Metal Halide with a  coulour temperature of 5200K and a CRI of 80. These bulbs  should be suspended from the ceiling and therefore can be  mounted as close or far away as you like. The bulb is called a  175Watt u/day bulb.Complete with ballast and reflector the  bulb is $305.
These bulbs are purchased by aquarium enthusiasts very often.
